Blitz Aviation Joins the Piper Flight School Alliance
Blitz Aviation is now a Piper Flight School Alliance member. Here is what the Piper partnership means for your flight training in Ogden, Utah.
Some news we’ve been waiting to share: Blitz Aviation is now a member of the Piper Flight School Alliance. Piper picked us as a partner school, and we’re excited to grow our Piper training at Ogden-Hinckley Airport.
If you’re shopping for a flight school in Northern Utah, the airplane you learn in matters more than most people expect. It affects how quickly you get comfortable in the cockpit, how often you actually get to fly, and what your training ends up costing. So here’s what the Piper partnership changes for you. Our current airplanes are on the fleet page if you want to see them first.
What Piper Alliance Membership Does for Your Training
Piper has been building trainers for a long time, and the Piper Flight School Alliance is its network of partner schools that fly Piper aircraft. Being picked for it is a big deal for a school our size.
The benefits are mostly behind the scenes, and you’ll still feel them. We get dedicated support from Piper and faster access to parts. When an airplane needs work, we can call the people who built it. Fewer parts delays means fewer canceled lessons, and that keeps your training on schedule.
Alliance schools also show up on Piper’s Flight School Map. If you’ve been searching for a Piper flight school in Utah, you’ll find us at Ogden-Hinckley. Our Ogden flight training page has directions and more about the airport.
Our Piper Archer II, Up Close
Our Piper Archer II is built on the PA-28-181 airframe, a design Piper has refined over decades of flight training. It’s low-wing, stable in a crosswind, and comfortable on long cross-countries. We upgraded the panel so you learn on modern Garmin avionics.
| Archer II Feature | What You Get Out of It |
|---|---|
| 180 hp Lycoming O-360 | Smooth, predictable power while you learn in Private Pilot training |
| Dual Garmin G5 electronic flight instruments | Modern electronic displays from your very first lesson |
| Garmin GFC 500 autopilot | Real automation practice for your Instrument Rating |
| Garmin GNC 355 WAAS GPS | GPS navigation and precision approaches in the training environment |
| 128 knots cruise, about 525 nm range | Room for real cross-countries while you build time toward Commercial Pilot |
A quick word on the autopilot. Your instructor will still drill you on stick-and-rudder skills, checklists, and good decisions first. Once those habits are solid, the GFC 500 teaches you to manage automation the way you will in more advanced airplanes.
Why a Supported Fleet Means Fewer Gaps Between Lessons
In accelerated training, consistency is everything. In The Blitz Program you fly often, and each lesson builds on the last. If you have to wait a week for an airplane, you spend the next lesson relearning what you’d already figured out.
That’s why manufacturer support matters to us. Reliable parts access and direct help from Piper keep our airplanes on the schedule and keep you flying.
